Our handcrafted Arthritis Salve is a rich, warming botanical blend created for targeted massage and everyday self-care. Made with a combination of warming spices, botanical ingredients, extra virgin olive oil, and beeswax, this salve provides a comforting warming sensation when massaged into areas that could use a little extra attention.
The formula combines cayenne/red pepper, black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, comfrey, and vanilla. These warming and aromatic botanicals create an invigorating massage experience that makes this salve a great addition to your daily wellness routine, particularly after physical activity or a long day.
Extra virgin olive oil provides a nourishing base that helps moisturize and condition the skin, while beeswax gives the salve its rich consistency and helps reduce moisture loss. Together, the ingredients create a smooth salve that spreads easily and allows you to comfortably massage the desired area.
Directions
With clean, dry hands, scoop out a small amount and apply it to the desired area. Gently massage into the skin for approximately 3–5 minutes.
Because this is a warming formula, begin with a small amount until you know how your skin responds. Additional product may be applied if needed.
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water immediately after application. Do not touch your eyes, face, mouth, or other sensitive areas after handling the salve.
Ingredients
Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Olea europaea), Beeswax (Cera alba), Cayenne/Red Pepper (Capsicum annuum), Black Pepper (Piper nigrum), Cinnamon (Cinnamomum spp.), Ginger (Zingiber officinale), Comfrey (Symphytum officinale), Vanilla (Vanilla planifolia).
Caution
For external use only. This is a warming product. The pepper, cinnamon, and ginger ingredients may produce a noticeable warming or tingling sensation.
Avoid contact with the eyes, face, mouth, mucous membranes, genitals, and other sensitive areas. Do not apply to broken, damaged, freshly shaved, or irritated skin.
A patch test is recommended before first use. Discontinue use and wash the area thoroughly if excessive burning, redness, irritation, or discomfort occurs.
Keep out of reach of children and pets. Use caution when applying to the feet, as the oils may make surfaces slippery.
Storage
Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Because this is an oil-and-beeswax-based salve, it may naturally soften or melt when exposed to high temperatures. If melting occurs, allow it to cool and solidify before use.
